O'PR (a.k.a. Fansu) Shibas purchased its first Shiba in 1992 when they were in the Miscellaneous Class. We have been learning, loving and showing them ever since. We are dedicated to them for life and to their preservation for the purposes for which they were originally bred. We want to breed beautiful dogs with superior temperaments and soundness that are a joy to live with. As much as we love showing a winning dog, we feel that breeding outstanding temperaments is more important than breeding all the Best In Show dogs in the world.
OPR Shibas has produced around 50 champions since the breed has been recognized by the AKC. We are very proud to be the #2 Breeder of Champions for 1996 with 10 champions.
A few years back we attended the Mid-West Regional NSCA Specialty. After 21 months of retirement, our CH. Taichung's Bold Concept at OPR ("Bo") won BEST IN SHOW. His granddaughter "Libby" went Best of Opposite Sex to him.
We breed very few litters per year as each puppy requires so much attention and socialization. We may also have a few select puppies available from friends who we feel have the commitment to Shibas as we have. Inquiries are always welcome!
Our puppies are guaranteed to be healthy. They are raised in our home with small children and are introduced to all types of animals and people. |
